'Nother doctor appointment, 'nother diagnosis.

This time it's Gastritis, and possibly the worst pain I've ever been in. It feels like when you have a flexible tube pushed up in ya during a sigmoidoscopy...But the sensation is constant, mostly on the lower left side. Breathing in deeply also has a sharp, pricking sensation, dead center, just under where the ribs meet.

This is not fun, ladies and gentlemen. It's hard to even lie down. I have no idea what brought this on, but I can't wait to learn how to get rid of it and make it never happen again. My insides feel like they're being sliced up with a dull knife. Production has halted on Storytime II indefinitely (it wasn't very interesting anyway). I'm not sure what project is next, but I will for sure be healthy when I start on it. Until then, I'm just sleeping a lot and watching TV. Might even have to take a medical leave of absence at work. It does not appear that this is the sort of condition that gets better quickly. It came out suddenly and from out of nowhere...

  1. Feel better soon, Don. There are a lot of people out here who care about your well being.

Chillax as long as you need to.

Drift away, feel the feelings, etc. Going through these things sux but ultimately teach something. Paul is thinking my body stuff is the unconscious trying to get my attention. So now I say, "I'm listening!"

  2. I don't know what it is. I just hope I don't have a high tolerance for pain and I'm ignoring appendicitis. You can die from being too hesitant with that.

As far as chillaxing... How many days is my boss going to give me off? I feel like a burden, but I have to be honest about the situation, which makes things harder. She's already lost one employee who just quit on her, now her #1, the employee she depends on the most, has this. I'm just hoping that Nov 2 marks the start of finding answers.

Also, did you see the trailer of Paranorman? Gah wah, GEEZ! If my subconscious is saying anything, it's being garbled by fanboy drooling. Every shot looks flawless and unencumbered by the problems of gravity. It floats in the best way while looking like it has weight.
