Went to the GI specialist today and she sat me down for a serious talk. She said that when she examined me, my stomach was thicker in places it shouldn't be. This can indicate a number of things, possibly even cancer. At the end of the month I'm going in for a colonoscopy in the hopes of ruling that out. The good news is that my diet does not have to be conformed or rigid to certain foods. She said I could eat whatever I want. The inflammation will be there no matter what, as well as whatever is making my stomach hard. Worse case scenario is surgery, and the best case is just being on this expensive medicine for the rest of my life. I'll take the good with the bad, but I really do not want cancer.
In the meantime, I'm just trying to sleep enough and not think about negative stuff.
My Prayers go out to you....I pray for good news man....Hope its just gas or whatever... and not the worst case scenario.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kriz. I don't know what it is or how bad- but the doctors definitely have me spooked!
ReplyDeleteChin up, Don. Finding out either way right away is the best thing you can do. And you are doing that.
ReplyDeleteThey will take care of you. I'm glad you're getting everything checked out.
Holding out for the best for you.
